Hello!

My name is Michael Sandrin, and I want to welcome you to my professional (and beautifully-crafted) online portfolio!

I am currently completing a Bachelor of Science Degree in the faculty of SIAT (School of Interactive Arts and Technology), and a minor in Computer Science, at Simon Fraser University, in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. I am both a creative, and technical person. Having both traits has been a benefit to me, in the context of both single and team projects, as I can come up with unique and interesting concepts, understand the logistics behind them, and see them through to completion. Thus, I often find myself in the role of Project Manager in teams, as my peers tend to be strong at either one or the other.

In the future, I hope to make a splash in the video game industry, as I have been interested in video games from a very young age. I am especially fond of games that make the player think, while also boasting great soundtracks and interesting/thought provoking narratives (such as Persona 3, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Tales of Vesperia). When I'm not playing them, I'm researching their development cycles, looking into beta content, and watching developer documentaries.

I believe that video games are an artistic medium which have the potential to show people places, things, and experiences that other medium can. With my knowledge of video games, love for a good story, and passion for projects, I someday want to show my talent to the gaming community in my own titles.
